NEWSOM BLASTS TRUMP — KENNEDY FIRES BACK: “DID THE MISSING $24 BILLION HELP WITH THAT?”

SACRAMENTO — In a sharp holiday escalation of political hostilities, California Governor Gavin Newsom launched a blistering attack on President Trump’s economic policies, only to run headfirst into a counter-offensive from his nemesis, Senator John Kennedy (R-LA).

Newsom, seeking to frame the narrative around the holiday season’s high costs, took to the airwaves to brand Trump the “Grinch in Chief.”

“The Gift That Keeps on Taking”

26%, Newsom argued that families are struggling to afford basic gifts and meals due to the administration’s aggressive trade policies.

“These tariffs are the gift that keeps on taking,”

Newsom declared. “While families struggle with basic costs, the Grinch in Chief is taxing the goods under their tree. It is an assault on the middle class.”

The attack was designed to pin inflation directly on the White House. However, Senator Kennedy was waiting.

Kennedy’s Lethal Question

Responding to Newsom’s comments, Senator Kennedy did not defend the tariffs directly. Instead, he pivoted back to the issue that has become Newsom’s Achilles’ heel: The missing billions.

“The Governor wants to talk about the cost of living,” Kennedy said in a statement. “He wants to talk about why money doesn’t go as far as it used to. That’s a great conversation. Let’s start with the $24 billion he lost.”

Kennedy argued that massive, unaccounted-for government spending is a primary driver of inflation, suggesting that California’s fiscal irresponsibility has ripples beyond its borders.

“Governor, you pumped $24 billion into the economy for homelessness and you can’t tell us who got paid,”

Kennedy asked, reviving the question that previously left Newsom speechless. “Did that money vanish into thin air, or did it flood the market, drive up prices, and contribute to the very inflation you’re complaining about now?”

The Inflation Connection

Kennedy’s rebuttal connects the “waste” scandal directly to the “price” crisis. “When you print and spend billions of dollars on consultants and bureaucrats who produce nothing, you devalue the dollar in everyone else’s pocket,” Kennedy noted.

“Maybe the Grinch isn’t the guy protecting American industry. Maybe it’s the guy who burned $24 billion of taxpayer money and has nothing to show for it but tents and expensive groceries.”

By linking the “Grinch” narrative to the “Audit” scandal, Kennedy effectively neutralized Newsom’s attack, forcing the Governor once again to defend his own record rather than attack the President’s.

EXPLOSION IN THE SENATE Senator John Kennedy left Washington stunned after an unrelenting 47-minute showdown with Adam Schiff. “I don’t need a script — I need the truth,” Kennedy said coldly, moments before exposing years of deceit…
