Nicki Minaj makes surprise appearance with Erika Kirk at TPUSA’s America Fest — urges young men to be more like Trump

Rapper Nicki Minaj made a surprise appearance with Erika Kirk at AmericaFest Sunday, where she took questions from Charlie Kirk’s window and urged young men to be like “handsome, dashing” President Trump — while ripping California Gov. Gavin “Newscum.”

“He [Trump] has given so many people hope that there’s a chance to beat the bad guys and to win and to do it with your head held high,” Minaj told the widow Kirk about her thoughts on the president.

During their onstage discussion, the “Queen of Rap” got candid about her religious journey and her decision to speak up against the slaughtering of Christians in Nigeria.

“We won’t be silenced ever again; we will speak up for Christians wherever they are in this world,” she declared.

Minaj vowed that she’s “not gonna back down anymore” and urged AmericaFest attendees to stand by their core beliefs regardless of what other people say.

When asked about the backlash over her politics from her industry, Minaj simply replied, “I didn’t notice.”

“We’re the cool kids. The other people, they’re the others that are still just disgruntled,” Minaj stressed about her lefty critics. “They are angry with themselves.”

“…In a world that doesn’t want us to think, we will think.”

The famed rapper electrified the crowd and drew a steady stream of standing ovations at the feted conservative grassroots gathering in Arizona during her Q&A with Kirk.

Minaj has become more outspoken about politics over recent weeks. She made headlines last month for raising concerns about the treatment of Christians in Nigeria during a collaboration with US Ambassador to the United Nations Mike Waltz.

“Nigeria is a place I’ve always loved. Someone very dear to me, my pastor, is Nigerian,” Minaj recounted to Kirk. “I have lots of Nigerian barbs and so hearing that … while they’re in church, people are being kidnapped, people are being killed, brutalized, all because of their religion — that should spark outrage.”

Earlier this month, the rap icon tore into Newsom for his stance on transgender children.

Minaj doubled down on her broadsides against the California governor during her appearance at AmericaFest, reading some of her social media jabs at Newsom when asked to by Kirk.

“Imagine being the guy running on wanting to see trans kids,” she said. “Not even a trans adult would run on that. Normal adults want to see happy, safe kids.”

At one point, Kirk asked Minaj to give advice to young men, and the rapper quickly said, “Don’t be Newscum.”

During her riff about her advice to young men, Minaj had a gaffe where she called Vice President JD Vance an “assassin.”

“You have amazing role models like the assassin JD Vance, our vice president,” she said before catching herself and recoiling.

Erika reassured her that she was unbothered by the awkward descriptor, and Vance later took to the stage and praised her.

“I’ve had this little nagging voice in the back of my head wondering whether she [Minaj] thinks I look like the JD Vance meme,” Vance later said during his speech.

“And it turns out, and I confirmed when she walked down the steps, Nicki Minaj actually knows what I really look like, and that is the best tribute that I could possibly imagine.”
